About Steroid Injections
Epidural steroid injections (ESI) are one of the most common treatments for acute to chronic pain. It is a type of anti-inflammatory medication that is a great alternative to more advanced treatments or surgery. Ideal candidates are individuals who are suffering from chronic dull pain or extreme discomfort due to a physical injury, slipped disc, or other health concerns, like arthritis. Our seasoned team of interventional pain management physicians are highly trained and experienced in administering epidurals to accurately treat precise areas of discomfort. At Tricity Pain Associates in New Braunfels and Seguin, TX, we have helped countless men and women who are suffering from persistent pain that cannot be eased with over-the-counter medication and other conservative therapies.
"I was truly impress with the treatment that was received from Dr. Sridhar Vasireddy. I had issues with my hip for over 6 months and was referred to Dr. Vasireddy. My treatment was a hip injection with sedation. Dr. V., was very detailed in explaining the procedure and the steps he would take. He concentrated on giving me the injection to an area was called “the ring”. I highly recommend Dr. Vasireddy. He is an awesome doctor!"- S.B. / Google / Apr 12, 2022

"I was referred to Dr. Vasireddy by the VA. I could walk only with a walker. After reviewing my MRI, he provided a plan of action with a series of injections and radio ablations. I can now walk nearly as well as prior to my incident. He also was able to provide relief for my popping, painful tailbone. I have had this condition for many years and no one has found the cause until I asked Dr. Vasireddy about it. He knew the problem, did some diagnostic test shots, and then radio ablation that really provided me with instant relief! My pain is now at least 90 % relieved! Thank You Dr. Vasireddy and also your very polite and courteous team."- C.M. / Google / Nov 18, 2021

I hated having to get in and out of the car now driving is no longer a dreaded chore thanks to Dr. Vasireddy's care. And I'm doing more around my home. Let me tell you. There are several different types of steroids, but generally, all of them consist of an anti-inflammatory medication and a numbing agent, like lidocaine or bupivacaine. During your initial consultation, we will review your condition and determine which type of steroid may provide the most pain relief. From there, we usually administer the ESI at the same time as your consultation with the help of a live x-ray machine called a fluoroscope. This provides our team with a live view of your body structures so we can place the steroid accurately. The procedure generally takes about 10 – 15 minutes to complete, and once it's done, you will be free to resume your daily activities. Most patients experience a noticeable improvement in their symptoms almost immediately.
