About Spinal Cord Stimulation
Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a cutting-edge therapy that uses a small medical device and electrical energy to relieve persistent nerve pain in the spine. This is an advanced treatment that is generally reserved for patients who have been battling chronic nerve pain without success from other forms of care. Due to the highly specialized nature of this treatment, SCS involves a one-week trial to determine if it is ideal for your condition. If you are tired of trying conservative therapies, like nerve blocks and steroids, without any noticeable improvement, spinal cord stimulation may be ideal for you. Reach out to Tricity Pain Associates in New Braunfels or Seguin, TX to learn more.
"I just finished lower back pain treatments. For the first time, in a long time, I can sleep in any position without pain or discomfort. Three injection sessions in L4. Very happy with my Pain Doc (how he is listed in my contacts). Side note, the young lady that checked me in each time was super nice."- D.Z. / Healthgrades / Jul 09, 2022
"I was truly impress with the treatment that was received from Dr. Sridhar Vasireddy. I had issues with my hip for over 6 months and was referred to Dr. Vasireddy. My treatment was a hip injection with sedation. Dr. V., was very detailed in explaining the procedure and the steps he would take. He concentrated on giving me the injection to an area was called “the ring”. I highly recommend Dr. Vasireddy. He is an awesome doctor!"- S.B. / Google / Apr 12, 2022

"I was referred to Dr. Vasireddy by the VA. I could walk only with a walker. After reviewing my MRI, he provided a plan of action with a series of injections and radio ablations. I can now walk nearly as well as prior to my incident. He also was able to provide relief for my popping, painful tailbone. I have had this condition for many years and no one has found the cause until I asked Dr. Vasireddy about it. He knew the problem, did some diagnostic test shots, and then radio ablation that really provided me with instant relief! My pain is now at least 90 % relieved! Thank You Dr. Vasireddy and also your very polite and courteous team."- C.M. / Google / Nov 18, 2021
Spinal Stimulation Treatment
Once the one-week trial run is complete and deemed successful, you will return to our office for the long-term implant of your spinal cord stimulation device. The SCS system uses a lead wire, pulse generator, and external remote to control the electrical pulses. The system is implanted near the lower portion of the spine to prevent localized sensory nerves from transporting pain signals. We suggest that you arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home after your procedure. It's normal to experience mild swelling and bruising near the treatment site, but this should subside in a few days and can be eased with over-the-counter pain medication.
If you want to avoid major back surgery and have tried conservative treatments without much improvement, we invite you to call Tricity Pain Associates to see if SCS is right for you. We have locations in both New Braunfels and Seguin, TX.
