About Facet Syndrome
Millions of Americans suffer from neck and back pain from diseases, like facet syndrome. This condition affects the facet joints of the spine, which is typically caused by the natural deterioration that the joints experience with advanced age. For this reason, it often develops gradually, but other health concerns, such as arthritis or obesity, can be contributing factors as well. The symptoms of facet syndrome generally include dull lower back pain, discomfort when sitting or standing, and muscle stiffness. Our caring team of physicians has accurately diagnosed and treated local men and women who are fighting facet syndrome with great success and can help you, too. We invite you to call Tricity Pain Associates in New Braunfels or Seguin, TX to make an appointment. We look forward to helping you regain optimal health so you can get back to doing the things you love.
"Dr V is both a doctor and a friend. He treats his patients with empathy and consideration. You will never feel rushed in his care and he provides wholistic options for pain management. He shows incredible patience in a field where chronic pain leads to frustration and it is often difficult for the patient to verbalize their issues. Highly recommend Dr. V!"- J.A. / Google / Mar 23, 2021

"I cannot begin to explain how much Dr. V as helped me over the last year. I came to him at the recommendation of my rheumatologist due to an undiagnosed pain in my lower back. The pain was so intense I was unable to find any comfortable position much less sleep. From my first visit, I realized Dr. V was different. He spent time with me, listened to me, and was genuinely concerned about the ulceration (later diagnosed as lupus panniculitis) on my lower back and the immense pain it was causing. He was able to provide me with immediate relief. After my surgery, his office worked to get me in as soon as possible to adjust my medication. When Dr. V saw me hunched over, barely able to move, and walking with a walker, he told me he would take care of me, and he did. He adjusted my medication, and I was able to return to work when the surgeon released me. Besides his medical knowledge, Dr. V always made me feel that he cared about me as a person not just a patient. I would recommend Dr. V to anyone who is living with pain and wants their life back."- M.H. / Google / Dec 26, 2020

Facet Syndrome Treatment
Facet syndrome is traditionally treated with anti-inflammatory medication and steroid injections. However, our first recommendation is usually physical therapy, but if that proves to be ineffective, then we may incorporate more advanced treatment methods in your care plan. The initial step will be to undergo a thorough health assessment at our office in New Braunfels or Seguin, TX. From there, we can review your condition and determine which therapies may be ideal for you. Our overall goal is to help decrease your pain and alleviate your symptoms so you can perform daily tasks without severe discomfort.
